Fostering Futures organizes a special Christmas program for children and youth in foster care. We strive to provide each child with not just a gift or two, but a full Christmas. Foster families are incredibly gracious, but they often don’t have the means to make Christmas extra special for the children in their home. Teenagers and young adults are particularly left out, as most donations are toys for young children. Our Christmas program is open to children of all ages in foster care, as well as those who have aged out of foster care within the last two years (ages birth - 22).
We use this exciting holiday season to help provide for each child's needs and wants. Through our Christmas program, we match donors with children in foster care to sponsor for the holidays. Donors are provided with important information about their assigned child, a brief story about them, and a list of their wishes, needs, and interests. Donors can then shop for their child and turn in the gifts to Fostering Futures. Donors can also purchase gifts from our Amazon Wish List and have them shipped directly to Fostering Futures. Foster parents or case managers can pick up their child's gifts at one of our two locations: South St. Louis County or St. Charles County.
Foster Parents and Case Managers you can fill out the Christmas application for child(ren), located under "Christmas Application." Please submit forms ASAP. Applications are assigned on first come, first serve basis. Foster parents must submit forms for their foster children. Case managers are only allowed to submit applications for young adults in independent or transitional living situations.
Sponsoring a child(ren) or young adult in foster care for Christmas means taking care of their gifts for the holiday and that we will not need to shop for additional gifts for this child. Not only are you supporting a child in foster care, but you are also supporting foster families.
Often groups of people (families, friends, classmates, coworkers, businesses, schools, scout troops, etc.) will sponsor a child/sibling set together.
We have two drop off locations:
Tis the season of giving. Your tax-deductible donation allows us to provide Christmas gifts for children in foster care.
